Lucas Oil Raceway Hiring Part-Time Event Staff

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—In preparation for the 2020 season, Lucas Oil Raceway is looking to hire part-time, seasonal staff for a variety of positions. Descriptions for the available positions can be found below while interested applicants can apply HERE.

Seasonal Ticketing Coordinator
-Perform all essential functions of the Lucas Oil Raceway Ticket staff:
-Greet and assist all track guests and racers, giving great service and going the extra mile every time
-Responsible for the determination of Ticketing & Parking staffing needs based on previous year’s and event historical data
-Handle event staff scheduling and communication of schedule to the temporary ticket and parking employees
-Contribute to the weekly event ticketing and parking reports, while supplementing the reports with historical data.
-Handle the set-up and programming of the Ticketing (KIS) machines for each event
-Assist the Ticketing Manager with post-event accounting process
-Responsible for assisting Lucas Oil Raceway in additional marketing & operational functions as determined by the LOR staff
-Assist with answering all guest inquiries – in-person, over the phone, via email and mail
-Participate in weekly meetings to stay up-to-date with the Lucas Oil Raceway event operations
-Maintain a high degree of accuracy, timeliness and consistency in all work

Seasonal Technical Inspector
Technical Inspectors are responsible for inspections on all cars that will be participating in any activity on the Drag Strip. This includes checking safety equipment (Driver Suits, Seat Belts, Helmets, Gloves, Shoes and or Boots) as well as all parts of the race car. 

Seasonal Drag Operations (Staging)
Responsible for running the Staging Lanes: making lane assignments for classes, pairing of cars, and sending them to the ready line when needed. 

Seasonal Drag Operations (Water Box)
Responsible for keeping a specified area wet for race cars to do burnouts before going to the start line. This individual is also responsible for keeping the area clean of gravel and debris that can be hazardous to cars and driver/crew behind the water box and signal lying to drivers to begin the burnout.

Seasonal Drag Operations (Start-Line)
Will assist the Head Starter at the start line area while watching for and cleaning up debris, oil, and water.

Seasonal Ticket Seller
Responsible for processing walk up cash and credit card transactions for events held at Lucas Oil Raceway. 

Seasonal Gate Operations
Responsible for checking all coolers, bags, and backpacks for prohibited items stated in the Lucas Oil Raceway gate policies.  Gate operator will also be responsible for scanning/stubbing all tickets entering the facility.
