2022 Oval Schedule

Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park is excited to showcase a diverse set of events on the oval in 2022, emphasizing a revival in pavement open-wheel racing with events featuring USAC Silver Crown, National Pavement Midget Championship, and Sprint Cars throughout the season.

With each event in 2022, fans can enjoy free camping – including camping through the weekend for the Carb Night Classic and NASCAR Doubleheader events – as well as free entry for children 12 and under! Check out each of the events below and ticket information.

Carb Night Classic
Friday, May 27

The Carb Night Classic returns to Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park in 2022 on Friday, May 27! Featuring multiple classes of open-wheel racing on the Friday before the Indianapolis 500, it will be a night to remember!

The 2022 edition of the Carb Night Classic will feature the Road to Indy’s Indy Pro 2000 and USF2000 Championships, as well as a 30-lap National Pavement Midget Championship feature paying $5,000 to win, as well as a 100-lap points-paying USAC Silver Crown National Championship race which pays $10,000 to win!


Thursday Night Thunder Homecoming
Thursday, June 30

After being revived in 2021, this well-known Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park event will return in 2022 with a focus on celebrating the personalities and broadcasts that made the track a staple in living rooms across the country. The event which helped establish names like Gordon, Stewart, Newman, and Kahne will continue to build a foundation for racers of current and future generations.

This night will feature the third points race in the National Pavement Midget Championship (a 35-lap feature, $5,000 to win), Champion Sprint Cars (35-lap feature, $5,000 to win) and the exclusive USAC Silver Crown Shootout, a 10-car field fighting for $13,000 in prize money within a 25-lap feature.


NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
and ARCA Menards Series
Friday, July 29

Continuing a tradition which dates back to 1982, NASCAR is returning to Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park in 2022 with the TSport 200 and the Reeses 200. On Friday, July 29, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the ARCA Menards Series will race under the lights as future stars of stock car racing compete on one of America’s most storied short tracks.

Tickets to the NASCAR doubleheader at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park will go on-sale on Wednesday, October 27.  Reserved seat prices will be $45 apiece, while general admission tickets will be $35 apiece. Children 12 and under will receive a FREE general admission ticket when accompanied by a paying adult, and primitive camping is also FREE!


Fireball Circle City Twin 100’s
Saturday, July 30

Featuring the ARCA/CRA Super Series and the Van Hoy CRA Street Stocks, the Circle City Twin 100s will serve as the only stock car oval race on the Saturday of Brickyard weekend in 2022!

In previous years the Circle City 100 has been won by household names such as Kyle Busch, Eric Jones, Daniel Hemric, and more! The addition of Van Hoy CRA Street Stocks to the Super Series race will put a perfect cap on a two-day stock car race weekend at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park which also features the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and ARCA Menards Series the day before on Friday, July 29.


Howard Companies Championship Saturday
Saturday, October 22

Capping off a busy oval season, Howard Companies Championship Saturday will feature three unique season-finales for the USAC Silver Crown National Championship, National Pavement Midget Championship, and the 500 Sprint Car Tour – all in one day!

The Saturday, October 22 event will host the 100-lap, $10,000 to win USAC Silver Crown National Championship finale, as well as 40-lap, $5,000 to win features in the National Pavement Midget Championship and the 500 Sprint Car Tour.

Additionally, the 2022 AJ Foyt Championship winner will be crowned on this day, adding a new name to a list of track champions that includes legends such as Jeff Gordon, Parnelli Jones, Ryan Newman, and more.
