Wednesday Night Thunder kicks off two-weeks off great racing at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. This year’s edition features the third race of the season in the brand-new All-Star Pavement Midgets series and the second race of 2025 in the National Pavement Midget Championship.

Tickets for Wednesday Night Thunder at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park are now available! Your ticket inlcludes access to Wednesday Night Thunder + the NHRA Dragstrip Testing session from 1pm-5pm on race day! This is your chance to see the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series teams tune their 12,000 hp machines prior to the Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals. Ticket pricing can be found below:

All-Star Pavement Midgets
Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park is excited to announce the formal introduction of the All-Star Pavement Midgets in a new, four-race series in 2025! This form of midget racing is cost-focused (limited to Focus & EcoTec engines, a $15,000 engine claim rule, no private testing) while also highlighting the exciting wheel-to-wheel action that pavement midgets have supplied for decades at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.
National Pavement Midget Championship
The National Pavement Midget Championship returns to Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park in 2025! As one of two pavement midget series at IRP in 2025, the National Pavement Midget Championship will run a three, race season.
Included with the price of your ticket to Wednesday Night Thunder, the NHRA will be hosting a Testing Session for teams prior to the Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals! Get a taste of what’s to come August 27-September 1 by coming early starting at 1pm to see the top NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series teams tune their hot rods as they chase the most prestigious Wally’s of the year.
All fans attending Wednesday Night Thunder will enter through the IRP Main Gate Entrance located off of East U.S. Highway 136/Crawfordsville Road. Gate for the public will open at 1:00pm.
All teams, drivers, and media will enter through Gate 2 located off of East County Road 300 North.
