Open-Wheel Opening Day postponed to Monday, August 1 due to weather

Due to forecasted cold temperatures for this weekend’s oval event, Open-Wheel Opening Day has been postponed to Monday, August 1st.

The event will coincide with an action-packed week of racing in Indianapolis which includes NASCAR’s return to Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park and a lead-in to the BC39 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

All tickets – including free general admission, as well as reserved seat bundles – will be good for the Monday, August 1st race date for Open-Wheel Opening Day. In addition, FREE Parking and Camping will be honored as well.

The 500 Sprint Car Tour and National Pavement Midget Championship will remain the competing classes at Open-Wheel Opening Day. Individuals may still reserve free general admission tickets – or paid options such as the Raceway Park Club and reserved seat bundles – at RaceIRP.com.

Thank you for patience and we look forward to seeing you August 1st.
