NDRL and Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park has cancelled The HOT ROD NATIONALS event intended to kick off this Saturday September 10th and 11th due to inclement weather.
At 5:00 p.m. on September 7th the NDRL announced on Facebook that it cancelled the HOT ROD NATIONALS EVENT that was to be held at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.
After several meetings with NHRA and Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, due to the weather forecast of (50% rain on Saturday and 75% to 100% on Sunday) it appears that mother nature is not on our side. Add to that the price of Gas and Hotels that racers will accrue, the NDRL has come to a hard discussion to CANCEL the race.
“In the past ten years cancellations of a race due to weather are few and far between. We had to make this call at this time to give long haul racers the notice that it has been cancelled” said Butch Hill President of NDRL.
NDRL Racing is set to resume October 15th-16th at Bowling Green KY at the Fall Finals.
