Race to the Eclipse

Join us on April 8th, 2024 for a once-in-a-lifetime event. The Solar Eclipse will occur across all of North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. It will cross over Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park at approximately 3:05 P.M. Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park has paired with the City of Brownsburg and Visit Hendricks County to provide an amazing Solar Eclipse experience.

Camping pass allows you access to camp in the Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park Campground area on the West Side opening on Sunday, April 7th at 12:00PM. Campers MUST be out of the facility by 12:00PM on Tuesday, April 9th.

SCHEDULE:
Starting at 1:00 p.m., event attendees will enjoy:

  • Eclipse Dragstrip Races: Witness the exhilarating spectacle of cars racing down the dragstrip during the eclipse – a true sight to behold.

What is a Solar Eclipse?
A total solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun. The Sky will darken as if it were dawn or dusk.
